Show up when
your area is searching.

When someone nearby searches for what you do, you need to be the result they find. Local SEO puts your business in front of the right people at the right moment. I optimise your Google Business Profile, local citations and on-page signals so you rank in the Local Pack, Google Maps and near-me searches, not just the regular results.

What's included

Everything that moves
the local needle.

Local SEO is its own discipline. It's not just about ranking in regular Google results. It's about dominating the Local Pack, the map, and every near-me search your potential customers are running right now. Here's what I cover.

Google Business Profile Optimisation
Your GBP listing is the single most important local SEO asset you own. I audit and optimise every section: categories, services, opening hours, descriptions, photos and Q&A, so Google has every reason to surface you in the Local Pack.
Local Keyword Research
I research the specific search terms your local customers use, including suburb-level, service-area and near-me variants. Every page and listing is then aligned to the terms that actually drive calls and enquiries.
Local Landing Page Optimisation
If you serve multiple locations, you need location-specific pages that are genuinely useful, not thin duplicates. I build and optimise landing pages for Toowoomba, Brisbane and any other service areas, each with correct schema, local content and keyword targeting.
NAP Consistency and Citation Building
Name, address and phone number must match exactly across every directory, platform and listing. I audit your citations for inconsistencies, correct errors and build new citations on high-authority Australian directories relevant to your industry.
Review Strategy and Management
Reviews are a direct local ranking signal and a first impression for every new customer. I help you build a repeatable process for generating genuine reviews, responding professionally and addressing negative feedback in a way that protects your reputation.
LocalBusiness Schema Markup
Schema markup tells both Google and AI platforms exactly where you operate, what you do and how to contact you. I implement and validate LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ schema on every relevant page across your site.
Competitor and Local SERP Analysis
I analyse which businesses are outranking you locally, what signals they have that you don't and where the gaps are. This shapes the entire local SEO strategy and ensures effort goes where it has the most impact.
Local Rank Tracking and Reporting
I track your local rankings at the suburb level, not just nationally. Monthly reports show movement in the Local Pack, Map rankings and organic results, with plain-English commentary on what's shifted and why.
How local rankings work

Google uses three factors
to rank local results.

Understanding what drives local rankings is the first step to improving them. Google's Local Pack and Maps results are determined by three core factors. Every part of my local SEO work maps back to improving one or more of these.

Factor 01
Relevance
Does your listing and website match what the searcher is looking for? This comes down to your Google Business Profile categories, your service descriptions, your on-page content and your schema markup. If Google can't clearly tell what you do, you won't show up for the searches that matter.
Factor 02
Distance
How close is your business to the searcher or the location they searched for? This is partly out of your control, but your service area settings, location pages and citation accuracy all play a role. If you serve both Toowoomba and Brisbane, that needs to be reflected correctly in your local SEO setup.
Factor 03
Prominence
How well-known and trusted is your business? Prominence is shaped by your reviews, your backlink profile, your citations across the web and your overall online reputation. This is where ongoing local SEO work makes the biggest difference over time.
Before and after

What weak local SEO
actually looks like.

Most local businesses have the same handful of issues holding them back. Here's what I typically find and what it looks like once it's sorted.

Before local SEO
  • Google Business Profile is incomplete or unclaimed
  • Wrong or inconsistent address across directories
  • No service area pages for Toowoomba or Brisbane
  • Zero reviews or no process for generating them
  • Listed in wrong or too-broad GBP categories
  • No LocalBusiness schema on the website
  • Barely visible in the Local Pack for core searches
  • Competitors rank in Maps despite weaker overall SEO
  • No idea which local keywords are actually driving traffic
After local SEO
  • Fully optimised GBP with photos, services and Q&A
  • NAP consistent across all directories and listings
  • Dedicated location pages for each service area
  • Steady stream of genuine new reviews each month
  • Primary and secondary GBP categories correctly assigned
  • LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ schema on every key page
  • Ranking in the Local Pack for suburb-level searches
  • Showing up in Google Maps when customers search nearby
  • Clear reporting on which local terms are converting
How it works

Local SEO done
in the right order.

Local SEO has a lot of moving parts. Getting the order right matters. I follow a structured approach that builds from the foundations up, so nothing is wasted and everything compounds over time.

01
Discovery
Local audit and baseline
I start by understanding where you currently stand. That means reviewing your GBP, checking your citations, analysing local SERP results and identifying where the biggest gaps are between you and your local competitors.
  • Google Business Profile audit
  • Citation and NAP consistency check
  • Local competitor analysis
  • Local keyword opportunity mapping
02
Foundation
GBP and citation clean-up
Before anything else, the foundations need to be right. I optimise your Google Business Profile from top to bottom, correct any citation inconsistencies and ensure your business information is accurate across every platform Google trusts.
  • GBP optimisation across all sections
  • Category selection and service setup
  • NAP corrections across key directories
  • New citation building on relevant platforms
03
On-page
Location pages and schema
Your website needs to back up your local signals. I build or optimise location-specific pages for your service areas, add the correct schema markup and ensure every page reinforces the local relevance Google needs to see.
  • Location page creation and optimisation
  • LocalBusiness and Service schema implementation
  • Local keyword integration across site content
  • Internal linking between location and service pages
04
Authority
Reviews and local links
Once the foundations are solid, I work on building prominence. That means a review generation strategy your team can actually maintain, identifying local link opportunities and continuing to grow your local authority over time.
  • Review request process and templates
  • Local link-building opportunities
  • GBP posting strategy
  • Ongoing citation expansion
05
Monitor
Track, report, adjust
Local rankings shift. Competitors make moves. Google updates its local algorithm. I track your local rankings at the suburb level and provide monthly reports that explain what's changed, what's working and what's next.
  • Suburb-level rank tracking
  • GBP insights review
  • Monthly performance report
  • Strategy adjustments as needed
06
Expand
New areas and opportunities
Once you're ranking well in your core areas, we look at expanding into adjacent suburbs, new service categories or the AI search results that are increasingly showing up above the traditional Local Pack.
  • New suburb and service area targeting
  • AI search visibility optimisation
  • Content strategy for local intent keywords
  • Ongoing GBP and citation maintenance
Where I work

Local SEO for
Brisbane and Toowoomba.

I'm based in Toowoomba and work with businesses across the Darling Downs and South East Queensland. I know these markets because I operate in them every day.

Toowoomba & Darling Downs
Toowoomba is a competitive local market with a strong mix of trades, professional services, health and retail businesses. I've worked with businesses right across the city and know the local search landscape well. Whether you're on Margaret Street or out in the industrial precinct, local SEO can make a real difference to how many calls you get each week.

Brisbane & South East QLD
Brisbane is a bigger, more competitive market, but that also means more searches and more opportunity for businesses that rank well. I work with Brisbane-based businesses across a range of industries, applying the same structured approach to local SEO that works in Toowoomba but calibrated for the scale and competition of a capital city.

Who this is for

Local SEO works when
location drives decisions.

Local SEO isn't right for every business, but for the right ones, it's one of the highest-return investments in marketing you can make. Here's who gets the most from it.

Trades and home service businesses
Plumbers, electricians, roofers, builders and other tradies live and die by local search. If you're not in the Local Pack, you're losing jobs to competitors who are. Local SEO is the most direct path to more inbound calls.
Health and allied health practices
Dentists, physios, chiropractors and medical clinics depend on patients finding them when they need help. Near-me and suburb-level searches drive the bulk of new patient enquiries for most practices.
Professional services firms
Accountants, solicitors, financial planners and other professionals serving a defined geographic area benefit enormously from strong local visibility, particularly when trust and credibility matter in the buying decision.
Retail and hospitality businesses
If customers need to walk through your door or visit your premises, local SEO and Google Maps visibility are non-negotiable. Foot traffic often starts with a mobile search.
Multi-location businesses
If you operate across multiple suburbs or service areas, you need a local SEO strategy that works at scale. I build location-specific pages and GBP optimisation strategies that give each location its best chance to rank independently.
Businesses losing leads to competitors
If you know your competitors are ranking above you in local results and you're not sure why, a local SEO audit will tell you exactly what they're doing that you're not. Then we fix it.
